Aloka Launches ProSound 3500SX Ultrasound System for U.S. Markets

WALLINGFORD, CT - Aloka America, Ltd. today announced the U.S. product release of the ProSound 3500SX, a powerful, compact, and affordable 4D diagnostic ultrasound system, at the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecology (ACOG) Annual Clinical Meeting in New Orleans, LA, May 3-7, 2008.

Key enhancements to the ProSound 3500SX system include:

  • Flat panel display and improved ergonomics
  • Enhanced 3D/4D imaging: save entire datasets to review later for faster exams
  • Free 3D/4D viewing software for post processing on independent workstations
  • USB port for fast, easy media storage (optional DVD/CD writer also available)
  • Extended Field of View (EFV) to view the entire uterus for multiple gestation and placenta position

The ProSound 3500SX ultrasound system is designed for obstetrics and gynecology, as well as a variety of other clinical applications including breast and urology. “With more than 10,000 earlier versions of the ProSound 3500 installed worldwide,” said David Famiglietti, chief operating officer of Aloka America, “the system is known for its excellent image quality, a comprehensive and customizable reporting package, and its true ease of use.

Now, the ProSound 3500SX offers significant enhancements to previous versions, giving our OB/GYN customers a competitive advantage.” Mr. Famiglietti continues, “What’s more, customers can count on Aloka with its consistently high rating by MDBuyline for product reliability, training, service, and support.”

The newly redesigned ProSound 3500SX will be on display at the ACOG Annual Clinical Meeting, May 5-7, 2008, at the Aloka booth 1521.
